The only reason I don't recommend him is because I WANT TO KEEP HIM TO MYSELFHe is a straight shooter who tells it like it is ... that is hard to find these days.I don't usually do reviews or give recommendations, however, in this case I give him a 10/10 and would recommend trying him if you need help with security or management.

I gotta say that Tom at Linux Tech Networks (linux-tech.net) has been excellent for us and pretty much all that we could ask for.So far, we've done "ala carte" work with him, but I've never had an issue where he hasn't been able to jump on and resolve an issue we were having pretty much immediately.We've thrown a ton of stuff at him, including troubleshooting and resolving problems with complicated, Zend-encoded PHP applications that had to talk to other applications, fixing a server that got hacked and rootkitted, moving a non-control-panel server over to a Cpanel one, and a ton of other stuff.He's always been really reasonable and fair on pricing, and that rare breed of guy who genuinely cares about resolving the problem, even when it's a screwed up situation that a lot of other people would probably run screaming from.We initially started working with him when it became clear to us how awful Planet's support was, but we will be continuing to work with him even after we move our servers elsewhere.

We've been using Linux Tech for years. We contracted him to monitor 100+ of our servers and to take action, if applicable. Every time, without exception, he was on top of an outage within minutes...many times before our internal monitoring system even caught it. We've also called on Linux Tech for emergency assistance on things, when our own admin was busy with other things. He's even helped out with things that really didn't even fall under the "system admin" category, when it was a crisis that could negatively affect our customers - such as quickly fixing up a broken installation of Kayako.Tom is a good guy. We recently hired WHMCSGuru to work on a custom plugin for us. I'll outline my experience below:Pre-Sales - I reached out to WHMCSGuru on a Sunday night regarding working on a custom module for us. He replied within 20 minutes, which was surprising for a Sunday night. He took the time to research what we wanted to do and answer each question I had in a timely manner. I decided to proceed with the project.Development Process - Because our project was a little on the large side, it took a few weeks to complete. Throughout the entire process WHMCSGuru provided regular updates during the week, as well as one bigger update at the end of each week stating what progress was made and what was left to do. I did not once have to prompt him for an update or chase him down in order to get our work done, which was a relief after working with other devs who were not like this.Post Development - Once the development was completed we noticed two things that needed to be adjusted with the module. After contacting WHMCSGuru again he made our requested adjustments quickly. Once again we didn't have to prompt or chase him down in order to make the adjustments. We simply provided what was needed and he got to work - again nice experience compared to other devs.
